Biography
Franck Cleymand is Senior Lecturer (MCU-HC-CNU 33), he has obtained his HDR (senior researcher) in December 2012 and head of (2011) a research team "Dolphin: (nano) biomaterials for life", that he has created at The Institute Jean Lamour (IJL) (http://ijl.univ-lorraine.fr/), a french research unit UMR 7198 CNRS/UL (@280 permanent). He can point to +65 articles in peer review journals, + 120 Communications, 14 supervised or co-supervised PhD Students (4 in progress), +40 MSC . He has an h-index of 17, his work is cited more than 770 times (Google Scholar). He is a recognized expert in biomimetic approach to the development and characterization of innovative nanomaterials and/or biomaterials from inorganic and/or organic elements for healthcare application
Research Interest
His research interests include the use of biomaterials and/or cells to be employed in regenerative and personalised medicine. In particular, in collaboration with Pr JF Mano from Aveiro University, he has been applying biomimetic and nano/micro-technology approaches to polymer-based biomaterials to develop biomedical devices with improved properties which could be exploited clinically or in drug screening. His multidisciplinary skills allow him to conduct translational research in nanomedecine field. He has been coordinating or involved in many national and European research projects.
